Dr Becky goes to Washington and Detroit USA

Dr Becky Furaha, HandUp Congo’s emergency medicine training interpreter in January 2023, is now participating in the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship, which brings up to 700 young leaders to the United States for a comprehensive executive-style program that is designed to build skills and empower Fellows to lead in their respective sectors and communities.

Launched in 2014, the Mandela Washington Fellowship is the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and embodies the U.S. commitment to invest in the future of Africa.

A graduate of Universite Protestante au Congo’s medical school (UPC https://upc.ac.cd/), Dr Becky is making a difference in women’s health.
