Inspirational Women: Ideas Worth Sharing
An International Women’s Day event
A salute to women working in international development will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 6 to 9 pm at Macquarie University’s North Ryde ‘The Hub’ Building, C10A, Level 3.

Gemma with students at gatesOpen to the public, “Inspirational Women: Ideas Worth Sharing” will feature Carol Angir, Senior Program Coordinator for ActionAid’s violence against women program, Gemma Sisia, Australian founder of Tanzania’s School of St Jude (named a “global woman of influence” by Australian Financial Review and Westpac in 2012), and Naomi Steer, founding National Director of Australia for UNHCR.

Tickets include light refreshments, African music and UNHCR photo exhibit and proceeds benefit Rotary’s international projects.
