Civil war victim - Sammy, a marvelous dancer

Talented photojournalist Melinda Kerr, who is based in Melbourne, Australia, took these and other powerful photos in Goma, eastern Congo while traveling with HandUp Congo co-founder Lucy Hobgood-Brown in April 2007.

In October 2007 three representatives from Lotumbe - an agricultural specialist, a pastor and a doctor - visited HEAL Africa's Goma-based leadership development and capacity-building projects (see Previous Projects). HandUp Congo and Fondation Lucie Otaenga (FLO) are seeking funds to establish an ongoing exchange of collaborative efforts. Please contact us if you would like to be part of this initiative.
